BiH has received Ten UNICEF Donations for Health Institutions

Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met in Sarajevo with the UNICEF Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rownak Khan.

Minister Bošnjak expressed a desire to continue the successful cooperation with UNICEF.

She thanked for the support that UNICEF has provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH has received 10 UNICEF donations for health institutions in BiH. The total value of the donations is approximately three million euros, and UNICEF also provided support in the implementation of procedures for the procurement of vaccination equipment and vaccines, as well as strengthening the capacity of cold chains.

Khan informed Bošnjak about four UNICEF projects/programs in the field of health, education, reform of the protection of children’s rights and deinstitutionalization in the social and child care system.

Within these projects, UNICEF will organize workshops in which it expects participation and cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The projects should contribute to the continuation of the successful cooperation of departmental entity-bodies and institutions in the areas covered by the projects.

UNICEF Representative in BiH, Rownak Khan, announced the continuation of support to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and both sides expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
