We have been witnessing the painful experiences of oncology patients from Tuzla for a long time. There was no valid answer to their problems until influencers from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) collected more than 170.000 BAM in a humanitarian action in just a few days. The action is not over, it is spreading to other hospitals in BiH. In addition to influencers, donations were made by citizens of BiH, companies, and city administrations…
According to BiH influencer Brankica Rakovic, the action showed the pulse of the people who do not want to be separated.
“The people are ready to help Tuzla, Mostar, and Zenica. The people want us to be together. All the people who are in the group, and there are more than 30 of them, are positive. People from Serbia and Croatia contacted us and said that they hope that something similar will spread to their countries. I think this will be an action that will create a mini-revolution in BiH in terms of trust towards influencers, in relation to the Internet… The fact that everything happened like this only speaks in favor of the fact that we need more such actions,” Rakovic stressed.
She recalled that just five years ago, she was one of those patients. While she was lying down and being treated, there were no such actions – she added.
The initiator of this laudable idea, the Tuzla influencer Mirza Mustafagic, adds that, among other things, vanity is left aside, and that he shares the action with those with whom he is not on ideal terms.
While Brankica jokingly says “Let’s get to 1 million BAM”, Mirza explains that the goal is to collect 250.000 BAM.
“When the renovation of the day hospital at the oncology department in Tuzla is finished, we will distribute the remaining amount to the centers in Zenica, Mostar, and Banja Luka”, he explained.
However, despite the “action that became more than an action”, not everything passed without reproaches and complaints from some individuals at the expense of influencers, N1 reports.
