tika (1)A delegation of media representatives from BiH is on a several-day visit to Turkey under the organization of the Office for the Balkan Agency Anadolija, Turkish Airlines and TIKA. They visited the Turkish State Agency for International Cooperation and Development yesterday (TIKA).

The President of TIKA Serdar Cam received the representatives and heads of BiH media in Ankara.

During the meeting, Cam recalled said that Turkey sees all the people from the Balkans as friends and pays attention to the welfare of all the people from the Balkans, and said that TIKA is implementing a number of activities in all countries in the region.

He said that in the last few years BIH has been faced with huge challenges, and said how the country has overcome challenges and succeeded to protect its vast cultural wealth.

“BiH is known in the world for its cultural heritage. Erosion in the field of cultural heritage leads to the destruction of the culture of a community. This is why it is important for people to cooperate in various ways in order to maintain its cultural wealth’’, he said.

In connection with the protests in Gezi Park in Istanbul, he said that some media have falsely reported on all that has happened.

He said that Agency Anadolija has built up an image over the past few years that is very professional and stable, and which reports on events throughout the world.
