The Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sifet Podzic met yesterday with the US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar and US Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson.
Topics of discussion were the current situation in the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH in the circumstances of the temporary financing and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The process of modernization of the BiH Armed Forces was also discussed, as well as the issues of resolving unpromising military property, primarily military locations.
Senior US official Escobar and Ambassador Nelson expressed full support for the MoD and AF BiH on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration, but also support for further reforms that are necessary for this process, the BiH Ministry of Defense said in a press release.
