BiH Minister of Security meets with EUFOR Commander

The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, spoke today in Sarajevo with the Commander of the European Union Forces (EUFOR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Major General Helmut Habermayer.

Congratulating Nešić on his appointment to the position of minister, Habermayer emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Ministry and EUFOR in preserving security and creating a more favorable security environment.

Nešić introduced Habermayer to the key security challenges and work priorities. About the complex security system, he pointed out the importance of efficient coordination of activities, while respecting legal and constitutional competencies and obligations.

The relations between EUFOR and the Ministry were assessed as extremely good, and mutual readiness for continued cooperation, exchange of information and support to strengthen security was highlighted, the Ministry of Security of BiH announced.
