The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina in sitting volleyball will play the final of the World Championship in Hangzhou (China) tomorrow.
The opponent of the BiH team will be the selection of Iran, and the match for the title of world champion will be played at 2:30 p.m. local time, that is, at 08:30 a.m. CET, with a live broadcast on BHRT.
By reaching the finals, Bosnia and Herzegovina also secured an appearance at the Paralympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028, fulfilling one of the main goals of this championship.
The chosen ones of coach Ifet Mahmutović had an impressive way to the final. They opened the championship with a convincing victory against Japan (3:0), then in the derby of the group stage they were defeated by the current world and Paralympic champion Iran by a score of 3:1, to conclude the group stage with a safe victory against Poland (3:0). In the knockout stage, the BiH team eliminated Iraq (3:1), Egypt (3:0) and Brazil (3:1) respectively, thereby winning the seventh final of the world championships and securing a visa for the Paralympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.
Before the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is now a new clash with the biggest rival in world sitting volleyball. Iran will defend the title of world champion, which they won four years ago in Sarajevo, while the BiH national team will try to return the world gold to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
