The person suspected of causing the fire in the town of Duzi near Trebinje admitted that he did it 11 times, said the deputy head of the Trebinje Police Department, Petar Kozjak.
Kozjak said that this person, who is between 20 and 25 years old, was taken into custody several times, but he admitted committing the offense only after he was spotted by firefighters and members of the BiH Armed Forces during the last fire.
At the press conference, he appealed to the citizens to refrain from lighting fires in the open, considering that the current weather conditions favor the uncontrolled spread of fire, and noted that the person who caused the fire in Cemerno has been identified.
