Draft Budget and the Program of Economic Reforms of the RS established

The Government of Republika Srpska adopted the Draft Budget of the Republic of Srpska for the following year under urgent procedure, and it was estimated at the total amount of 3,337 billion BAM.

The estimated budget revenues in the next year amount to 2.68 billion BAM, while the estimated funding is planned in the amount of 644.1 million BAM, and other receipts should be added to it as well in the total amount of 9.3 million BAM, as stated from the Bureau for Public Relations of the Government of the RS.

Estimated budget expenditures as well as expenditures for non-financial properties amount to 2,558 billion BAM.

The planned budget surplus in the amount of 125.2 million BAM will be directed towards repayment of debts to domestic and foreign creditors for direct and indirect liabilities of the RS, as well as long-term loans from international financial institutions.

The Government of the RS also established the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Borrowing, Debt and Guarantees of the RS by the urgent procedure.

The Proposal of the Program of Economic Reforms of the RS for the period 2018-2020 was established by urgent procedure as well, and it was sent to the National Assembly of the RS on a further consideration and adoption.

It is planned for the reforms to include the sector of management of public finances, reforms of market, energy and transport, sectoral development, business environment, research, development, innovation and digital economy, reforms related to trade, education and skills, employment and labor market and social inclusion, the reduction of poverty and equal opportunities for everyone.
