The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will consider the first review of the expanded arrangement with Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on February 9th in Washington DC, as IMF Resident Representative to BiH – Francisco Parodi said.
“It is expected that after that, a tranche of 145 million BAM will be paid to BiH,” Parodi said for ‘Glas Srpske’.
Parody welcomed the adoption of the budget for this year in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) and the House of Representatives of BiH, stressing that the document is waited to be finally adopted in the House of Peoples of BiH, whose session is scheduled for January 25th , and also in the federal House of Peoples who discussed this question yesterday.
“With the Republika Srpska (RS) budget adopted in December, fiscal policies for BiH are on the right path and will allow investment spending in this year, which will increase growth,” Parody emphasized.
The condition for the continuation of the arrangement with the IMF was the adoption of the budget of the institutions of BiH and the FBiH for this year.
The RS was the only one to fulfill this obligation on time, adopting the budget in December last year.
