A company from Germany that is dealing with the manufacturing of metal beds is planning to move its production plants from China to the Free Zone Holc in BH town of Lukavac.

“There is a possibility that we will get an investor that will move its production of metal beds into our free zone. It is an investor from Germany, who has companies in Germany and China. However, he is not satisfied with the business operation in China, and therefore he decided to move his complete production to BiH,” said the Director of the Free Zone Holc, Mahir Selimovic.

According to Selimovic, that contract will be signed next year, and about 50 new employees will be hired.

Currently, there is one company in the Free Zone Holc in Lukavac that employs a total of 1,262 workers and it is engaged in the production of bedrooms, mattresses and latoflex beds. They are mostly exporting their products to Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and other countries of Western Europe.

The turnover of this zone amounted to 26 million BAM last year, and it is expected to amount to 35 million BAM this year.
