Eighteen EUFOR personnel took part in a shooting competition organised by the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Pazarić shooting range on 5th November, ahead of AFBiH Day on the 1st of December.

The event brought together teams from EUFOR, NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Border Police, the State Investigation and Protection Agency, the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies and law-enforcement institutions from Sarajevo and East Sarajevo.

The competition featured a 25 meter precision pistol discipline using 9×19 mm semi automatic pistols. Participants completed four competition series, testing accuracy, concentration and consistency under standardised conditions.

Beyond the competitive element, the event provided an opportunity for personnel from military, police and security institutions to meet in an informal professional setting and strengthen relationships through sport and shared activity.

For EUFOR, participation in events of this kind complements its regular cooperation with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other security institutions.

Such activities help strengthen mutual understanding, camaraderie and professional relationships between personnel who regularly work alongside one another in support of security and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina. EUFOR congratulates all participants and thanks the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina for organising the competition.
