presidencyThe Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina welcomed the conclusions of the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union which reiterated its unequivocal commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU perspective and adopted a new approach and set of steps for the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European integration process.

BiH Presidency is ready to, in accordance with the conclusions of the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union, prepare and coordinate a written statement, which will express the readiness of Bosnia and Herzegovina to implement the necessary reforms regarding the European integration process, and it will be signed by leaders of parliamentary political parties and confirmed by the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Then the Council of the European Union would adopt a decision on the entry into force of the Stabilization and Association Agreement.

BiH Presidency will advocate and initiate that, after the signing of the statement and entry into force of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, the competent authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina will consult with the European Union and determine the initial reform agenda based on the Copenhagen criteria, including in particular the socio-economic reforms stipulated by the Compact for Growth and Jobs, as well as approaches to their implementation, in order for it to create preconditions for submitting applications for membership of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union, said the BiH Presidency.
