Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, met yesterday with the Ambassador of the United States of America, Michael Murphy, with whom he discussed a number of foreign and domestic political issues.

The interlocutors discussed the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina with special emphasis on the importance of intensifying reform processes in BiH.

Bećirović emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina appreciates the US support, as well as the necessity of an international presence in the country, primarily the EUFOR Mission ALTHEA. He also assessed the assistance of the Ministry of Defense and US institutions to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina as important.

The officials exchanged information about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Murphy expressed the expectation that the new parliamentary majorities at all levels of government, after a long standstill, will turn to faster implementation of reforms, which will move the country out of stagnation, announced the BiH Presidency.
