The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, spoke with the Ambassador of the United States of America (USA) in BiH, Michael Murphy, about the current situation in BiH.

“Ambassador Michael Murphy said that the United States of America will protect Bosnia and Herzegovina and ensure that its sovereignty, territorial integrity and multi-ethnic character are maintained. He pointed out the importance of the existence of functional, efficient and responsible state institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, it was announced from Public relations services of the BiH Presidency.

It is added that Bećirović and Murphy agreed that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America will defend the Dayton Peace Agreement.

“Ambassador Murphy reiterated that no entity or any other lower-level administrative unit has the right to secede or unite with another country,” the statement said.

Bećirović thanked the United States of Bosnia and Herzegovina for its support on the Euro-Atlantic road. During the conversation, Bećirović emphasized BiH’s unquestionable determination to achieve full membership of BiH in the European Union and NATO.
