BiH Presidency Member reacts after Statements by Security Minister

On the occasion of the public speech of the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, in which he assessed the meeting of the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, with the former commander of the Fifth Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Atif Dudaković, as an act directed against the Serbian people and the entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina RS, Mehmed Pargan, advisor, announced member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović.

“The Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was legal and the only internationally recognized military formation during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina. It did not commit genocide like the RS Army, whose entire leadership, as well as the leadership of the official entity in Dayton, was sentenced for genocide, joint criminal enterprise or mass war crimes,” Pargan pointed out.

As he states, the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina defended the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina within its historical and internationally recognized borders, precisely from aggression and genocide.

“The ideology, on which the political idea to which Nešić belongs, is based, today glorifies criminals and crimes, judged before the International Criminal Court for war crimes committed in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. Nešić and his political clique are proud of what the whole world is ashamed of,” he stated.

Pargan pointed out that General Atif Dudaković has not been convicted of war crimes and is not guilty until proven guilty. It is worrisome that the Minister of Security prejudges court verdicts and in this way publicly puts pressure on the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is important to point out, states Pargan, that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are grateful to General Dudaković and the Fifth Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina for defending the Bosnian Krajina, precisely from those whom Nešić and his party comrades celebrate today.

“The Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was not against the Serbs. On the contrary, Serbs also fought honorably in its ranks, for their country Bosnia and Herzegovina and, together with other fighters, proudly preserved its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

On the basis of that struggle, even today we advocate for a country of free and equal people, equal before the law. As Minister of Security, Nenad Nešić is responsible for the security of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, not just one ethnic group. Unfortunately, his day-to-day political activity, based on deepening inter-ethnic tensions, on the verge of fueling dangerous inter-ethnic hatred, is more in the function of destabilizing the country,” concluded Mehmed Pargan, advisor to the member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, Bećirović’s office announced.
