The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Denis Becirovic, received the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in BiH, Rezeq Namoora, on a farewell visit.
Becirovic thanked Ambassador Namoora for his successful eleven-year diplomatic mission in BiH, which significantly contributed to strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between BiH and the State of Palestine, based on mutual respect and understanding.
Becirovic welcomed the recent adoption of the Resolution in the United Nations (UN) Security Council, which supports a comprehensive ceasefire plan in Gaza and approves the formation of a Peace Committee and the deployment of International Stabilization Forces to the devastated enclave.
“BiH condemns all violence and war, especially attacks on civilians, and supports the so-called two-state solution, which implies two equal states, Palestine and Israel,” Becirovic said.
Ambassador Namoora thanked for the principled support of BiH to the efforts that led to preserving peace and stability in the State of Palestine and the region.
He emphasized the importance of the adoption of the Resolution on the protection of civilians, humanitarian aid, and freedom of media reporting in Palestine by the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (PABiH) in September this year.
Ambassador Namoora expressed his gratitude to the members of the Presidency of BiH for the friendly cooperation and expressed his conviction that interstate relations will continue to develop in the future to mutual benefit, as announced by the Office of the member of the Presidency of BiH, Denis Becirovic.
