BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović submitted a criminal complaint to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office against Zlatko Lagumdžija, BiH Ambassador to the United Nations.
The first reason, the application states, is that Lagumdžija unilaterally and arbitrarily undertook actions related to the preparation of the text and submission of the resolution on Srebrenica for adoption by the UN General Assembly, without the mandatory authorization of the BiH Presidency.
As stated in the application, Lagumdžija thus exceeded his powers, “in direct violation of the constitutional framework of BiH and the guaranteed rights of the three constituent peoples of BiH”.
“Performing his duties as BiH ambassador to the UN on April 5, he refused to forward the letter of the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, dated April 3, addressed to the UN Secretary General, thus committing the criminal offense of attacking the constitutional order under Article 156 of the Criminal Code of BiH, a criminal offense violation of the equality of man and citizen from the provision of Article 145 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority from the provisions of Article 220 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the application states.
