Amel Tuka, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) best athlete, entered the semi-finals of the European Championship in Glasgow on Friday night.

In the 800-meter race, Tuka finished first in a fantastic finish and entered the first quarterfinal round. He recorded a time of 1: 47.96, which was enough to secure the placement in the semifinals. After passing through the finishing line, Tuka kissed the flag of BiH, which was on the jersey, marking the March 1st Independence Day of BiH.

BiH’s second representative, Abedin Mujezinović, made a personal record and in the 800 meters race, he took third place with 1: 49.26.

The finals are scheduled on Sunday.
