BiH secured Transport of Natural Gas via Hungary

BiH secured its supply of natural gas for the year of 2018, and the natural gas for our country will flow through Hungary, as announced by BH-Gas.

BH-Gas and the Hungarian transporter FGSZ signed an agreement on the transportation of natural gas yesterday in Budapest, after six months of negotiations and efforts that BH-Gas invested in order for the terms and conditions of transportation to remain at the same level as this year.

“This means that, when it comes to daily needs, BH-Gas will secure a transport capacity of 1.5 million Sm3, which is sufficient for daily needs of consumers in the FBiH, and when it comes to calculation of costs, this calculation element will stay the same. These are the two most important determinants of this annex,” as noted from BH-Gas.

Considering that a contract with the Russian supplier, Gazprom Export, was extended for the year of 2018 and an annex with the Hungarian transporter was signed, the required quantities and gas transport was secured. However, the issue of natural gas transport over the Republic of Serbia still remains unsolved.

They also noted that there are no indications on the final result of the mutually delivered contract proposals between BH-Gas and Srbijagas, but they noted a hope that this problem will be solved for the benefit of consumers in both countries.
