More than 800 members of the Light Infantry Battalion Group of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH) will participate in the upcoming “Combined Effort” exercise, which will be held at the military training ground on Manjaca from September 19th to September 23rd this year.

The exercise will be carried out with the aim of evaluating the Light Infantry Battalion Group according to NATO’s concept of operational capabilities NEL-2.

Major Enis Heric, commander of the 1st Battalion of the 5th Infantry Brigade and commander of the Light Infantry Battalion Group of the AFBiH, spoke about the exercise.

The commander of the Light Infantry Battalion Group, Enis Heric, said that with the highly trained non-commissioned officer and officer staff, they will give their maximum through the upcoming evaluation and create the conditions for obtaining a certificate for entering the NATO pool of joint readiness forces, which will allow the AFBiH for the first time to have a unit ready to participate in NATO-led operations as well as all other peace support operations in the world.
