At an extraordinary telephone session, the Council of Ministers of BiH passed a Decision on a temporary ban on the export of certain forest wood assortments, firewood and wood products.

The aim of this decision is to provide the necessary quantities for the processing industry, eliminate the threat of serious or irreparable damage to forests in Bosnia and Herzegovina and prevent critical shortages of these products for the population and economy caused by the crisis in the world energy market.

The decision will be published in the Official Gazette of BiH and will be applied 90 days from the day of entry into force, which is the eighth day from the day of its adoption.

After the expiration of the implementation period, the Council of Ministers of BiH has the possibility to extend the protective measures provided by this decision, at the proposal and on the basis of the report of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH on the effects of implementation.

The Council of Ministers of BiH may review the application of this Decision even before the expiration of its validity in case of fulfillment of the goals of its adoption, based on the submitted report of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
