BiH Weather Agency issues Red Alert for Rainfall

The Federal Institute for Hydrometeorology (FHMZ) on Monday issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in southern and southwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

“The warning is issued for Monday starting at 10 pm until Wednesday 3 pm,” FHMZ official website said Monday.

FHMZ warns that from 40 to 80 liters per square meter of rain in one hour will fall in the southwestern part of the country, while in the southern part, up to 120 liters per square meter.

On Monday, mostly cloudy weather is expected in BiH, and from evening hours and on Tuesday, stronger winds with rain. The highest daily air temperature will vary between 2 and 7 degrees Celsius, in the southern part of the country from 7 to 11 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, stronger rain in the south and southwest part of the country, accompanied by wind blowing in the southeast direction.

Lowest morning air temperature will vary between 1 and 5 degrees Celsius and in the southern part of the country from 7 to 12 degrees Celsius C. The highest daily air temperature will be between 6 and 12 degrees Celsius, in the southern part from 12 to 17 degrees Celsius, Xinhua reports.
