košarkaThe junior basketball team of BiH advanced to the second round, among the top 12 selections in the A-Division of the European Championships that is played in Latvia.

Last year for the first time they managed to get into the A-Division (triumph at the European Championship Division B in Sarajevo), and then in their debut appearance in the highest rank won the second stage of the competition.

This is thanks to the players Adi Zahiragić, Haris Ćurevc, Stefan Lakić, Sandr Gačić, Bojan Lulić, Davor Karamatić, Din Alić, Faris Smajlović, Aleksandar Lazić, Imran Polutku and Nedim Tunović, led by the coach Nenad Marković and his assistants Senad Redžić and Siniša Kovacević.

Due to the administrative problems, the professional staff could not count on Emir Sulejmanović and Amar Alibegović, while injuries and illness prevented our leading players Nedim Buza, Milenko Predić and Ivo Garić from participating.
