BiH’s Commitment to strong Cooperation with NATO

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Commission for Cooperation with NATO of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Josip Brkić, met today with the political director for the Western Balkans of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Victoria Billing.

The meeting discussed the current political situation in BiH after the General Elections held in October, European and Euro-Atlantic integrations and reform processes.

Deputy Minister Brkić emphasized the importance of the European and NATO perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the security and stability of the entire region.

He informed the interlocutor about the work and activities of the Commission for Cooperation with NATO of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he heads, as well as the adoption and implementation of the 2022 Reform Program. He emphasized BiH’s commitment to strong political dialogue and cooperation with NATO and added that the Alliance confirmed its firm commitment to partnership with BiH in June of this year at the NATO Summit in Madrid.

When it comes to the European integration of BiH, Deputy Brkić emphasized the importance of obtaining the status of a candidate for EU membership by the end of the year and expressed the hope that after the formation of the government at all levels, the reform process of our country will be accelerated with the aim of progress and prosperity.

Political director Billing emphasized that the United Kingdom attaches importance to the reform processes of our country and announced the continuation of support and assistance for the Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
