Bilateral Cooperation between BiH and Austria are very good

Deputy Minister of Defense of BiH for Policy and Plans Slaven Galić today received Brigadier Erich Simbürger, Military Attaché of the Republic of Austria in BiH. They discussed the current situation in the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, bilateral cooperation in the field of defense and training of cadets from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the prestigious Teresian Military Academy in the Republic of Austria, and the possibility of establishing a defense college for the Western Balkans in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Galić assesses that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries is very good and intensive, which results in the quality implementation of the annual cooperation program. He also expressed satisfaction with the education of cadets from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Theresan Military Academy in the Republic of Austria.

Simbürger stated that the Republic of Austria wants to continue successful cooperation in the coming period, and concluded that all priority tasks in bilateral cooperation are functioning in good circumstances.

Galić emphasized that the goal of establishing a defense college for the Western Balkans in Bosnia and Herzegovina would be to provide high-quality advanced security and defense training for military, diplomatic and civilian personnel, all to create a common understanding in accordance with the security and defense policy of the European Union to harmonize future security and defense efforts of the Union in cooperation with the region of the Western Balkans, announced the BiH Ministry of Defense.
