Minister of Defense of Bosnia-Herzegovina Sifet Podzic met on Friday with  Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine, Serhii Miniail.

Talks on bilateral cooperation between BiH and Ukraine expressed a mutual desire to intensify mutual military cooperation after several years of stagnation.

The interlocutors noted that the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine have to a large extent compatible with each other, which gives room for increased co-operation in the field of armaments and military equipment maintenance.

Despite the complex political situation in both countries, it is hoped that this year the number of mutual activities for the benefit of the citizens of both countries will increase.

Following the meeting of Minister Podzic with Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine Miniail, Assistant Minister of Defense of BiH for International Cooperation Zoran Sajinovic and Ukrainian Military Envoy Brigadier Georgii Falko signed the Plan of Bilateral Military Cooperation of BiH and Ukraine for 2020.
