The Bishop Conference of Austrian will be held in BiH as an expression of solidarity in the period from March 5 to 8, in Sarajevo, and it started last night with the Eucharist celebration in the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Sarajevo.

According to the spokesman of Kathpress from Vienna, Paul Wutha, this is the first time in history that the Bishop’s Conference of Austria is held in Sarajevo, and added that this represents a real proof of the connection and bond between these two churches.

The host of the Austrian bishops is the Bishop’s Conference of BiH, which is headed by the President of the Archbishop Metropolitan of Vrhbosna Cardinal Vinko Puljic, who believes that this first session in history represents a strong message of solidarity.

The Apostolic Nuncio from Austria and BiH will attend the joint session; Mons. Peter-Stephan Zurbriggen and Mons. Luigi Pezzuto, and the host of bishops will be nuncio Pezzuto in the Apostolic Nunciature.

The bishops will celebrate Holy Mass today at 6 PM in the church of St. Cyril and Methodius with the participation of the community of Theological Seminary of Vrhbosna and professors of the Catholic Faculty of Theology.

The bishops will end their session on Thursday, March 8, in the Priest’s Home of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna.
