Representatives of the Business Association “International Transport” today blocked the traffic for freight vehicles at the freight terminals at the exit from Serbia at noon, and at midnight they will block the crossings at the entrance to Serbia, announced the Directorate of Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia.

The blockade from 12:00 is at the border crossings Batrovci, Šid, Bogojevo, Bačka Palanka, Neštin, Bezdan, Horgoš, Kelebija, Vrška Čuka, Gradina, Strezimirovci, Srpska Crnja, Vatin, Kaluđerovo and Preševo.

The press release states that the traffic blockade for freight vehicles was announced to the MUP by a representative of the “International Transport” Business Association.

“The blockade started today at 12:00 p.m. at the exit from the country at the cargo terminals, and after that they will also block the border crossings at the entrance to Serbia at midnight,” the announcement states.

Carriers from Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina blocked the freight terminals of the border crossings towards the Schengen countries at noon, due to problems with the new system of entry and exit from the EU and the rule according to which professional drivers must stay in the Schengen area for 90 days within 180 days.

Turkish drivers also gave support to carriers from Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
