COM EUFOR attends his first-ever Meeting with Italian Ambassador to BiH

On 26 January 2026, the newly appointed COM EUFOR Major General Maurizio Fronda had the pleasure of attending his first-ever meeting with Italian Ambassador to BiH, H.E. Mrs. Sarah Eti Castellani in Sarajevo.

This valuable meeting provided an opportunity to have focused discussions on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s security environment and, EUFOR’s continued steadfast commitment in supporting peace and stability in the region.

During their discussions, COM EUFOR expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ambassador of Italy to BiH for their support and recognized the dedication of Italian personnel currently serving with EUFOR Operation Althea.

Conversations like these are important and reinforce the strong ties between Italy and EUFOR.
