Bosnian national center-back Tarik Muharemović ranks first on the list of the best signings in the English Premier League so far this season. The British portal Football365 published the ranking, and its author, Jason Soutar, singled out the 23-year-old defender’s stellar performance in a Leeds United shirt.
Although only eight league matches have been played in the 2026/2027 season, Soutar believes that certain summer signings have already proven their worth.
Muharemović found himself at the top of Soutar’s list. He arrived from Sassuolo to Leeds United for a little over £34 million.
“The best signing of the season so far is Leeds center-back Muharemović, who arrived from Sassuolo for a little over £ 34 million. He looked completely at home in the Premier League, which is even more impressive considering he is only 23 years old,” Soutar said.
The author of the analysis believes that a major transfer awaits the Bosnian international in the future, and does not rule out the possibility that it could happen as early as next summer.
Second place went to Jeremy Jacquet, who joined Liverpool, while third place went to Leeds United goalkeeper James Trafford.
Among the top ten is also Croatian defender Luka Vušković, who plays for Brighton, taking fourth position.
The complete list of the top ten signings according to Football365 looks like this:
Tarik Muharemović – Leeds United
Jeremy Jacquet – Liverpool
James Trafford – Leeds United
Luka Vušković – Brighton
Nicolas Jackson – Aston Villa
Morgan Rogers – Chelsea
Antonio Silva – Bournemouth
Konstantinos Tzolakis – Hull City
Zion Suzuki – Aston Villa
Ezri Konsa – Arsenal
Muharemović’s first-place ranking represents significant recognition for the young Bosnian international, who, right at the start of his English adventure, has attracted the attention of the football public and shown that he can handle the challenges of one of Europe’s strongest leagues.
