” Blue Viking in Sarajevo” voted for the best documentary on ”DukaFest”

The documentary of the young B&H director Ado Hasanović won the award for the best documentary film on the 5th Festival of Student Film ” DukaFest” in Banja Luka. The festival competition included 50 films from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Israel, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Romania, Russia, Albania, Turkey, Great Britain, Australia and Spain. The decision of the jury, consisting of Ahmed Imamović, Goran Radovanović and Zoran Galić, clarifies that the award for the best documentary was assigned for the humane and positive relation towards life that reflects itself through the relationship towards the main protagonist.

The winner of the best documentary film, Ado Hasanović says: ” I am really surprised. This award is very special to me and I am glad that the jury recognized the hard work and the quality approach to the film. The competition was huge. I was running against 16 other documentary films and I am very pleased that my film was chosen as the winner on the ”DukaFest” that is known for the diversity of its program”.

The special award of the jury was assigned to the director from Croatia, Barbara Vekarić for the film entitled ” First Lady of Dubrava”. The award for the best directors’ achievement went to Strahinja Savić from Belgrade for the film entitled ” Tango in three figures and three spaces”, while the award for the best film went to a Bulgarian director Deyan Bararev for the film ” Botev is an idiot”.
