border crossingNewly constructed border crossing Gorica, between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, was put into operation in full capacity yesterday. In this way, the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH completed the construction of another contemporary border crossing.

The new border crossing Gorica was built in accordance with all standards of the European Union in order to satisfy all needs for the transportation of passengers and goods, especially goods which require phytosanitary inspection monitoring. The crossing has a total of five lanes, two for entering BiH, two for exiting, and one reversible lane (additional lane which is opened in the direction where greater jam appears).

On this border crossing there is a section for passenger traffic and section for freight motor vehicles. The terminal, which is situated right next to the border crossing, accommodates all inspection services which are necessary given the categorization of the border crossing and the allowed sorts of goods which can be transported via this crossing. Works on the construction of the new border crossing Gorica began in December 2015 and the construction was fully completed in six months. Construction of the new border crossing Gorica cost 1.6 million BAM in total.
