Bosman to construct 1.2 million BAM worth Artificial Lake on Bjelasnica Mountain

Company Bosman from Sarajevo is currently performing works on the construction of artificial lake on Bjelasnica Mountain.

“Works on the protection of geomembrane are taking place currently and galvanized protective metal fence will be installed in order to ensure the accumulation from the aspect of security,” as noted from the company Bosman Sarajevo.

Thus, these are additional works on the reconstruction and modernization of accumulation II on Bjelasnica Mountain with the increase of capacity.

Additional works also include the preparation for the second phase of the construction i.e. drainage system, the construction of a collecting manhole and the muddy drainage of the accumulation, and cargo in the form of a reno mattress that are located at the bottom of the lake for stabilization of the geomembrane.

“The value of this investment amounts to 1.2 million BAM, and completion of the first phase of works and filling the lake is scheduled for September 30, 2018,” as said from Bosman.

Artificial lakes of this type are constructed on mountains with the aim to be used during the winter in the segment of artificial snowmaking, while they can serve as a tourist attraction during the summer.
