601697_369758556469006_2125433523_nThe youth association REaktiv from Zenica is implementing a unique program called ‘Bosnia and Herzegovina Cap Project’, which is about converting plastic caps into wheelchairs. For one wheelchair it is necessary to collect 250 kg of bottle caps, which are transported to Turkey to a recycling company called ‘Muzaffer Pinarbasi isletmelerii’.

From the money, the wheelchairs will be ordered from the German company ‘Otto Bock Wheelchairs’ and then delivered to B&H. This is a humanitarian, inclusive and environmental project, with many volunteers that will be involved who will collect plastic caps that will later be turned into wheelchairs.

Green Club from Turkey is the carrier of the global project, and since July B&H Cap Project became a part of this story and is expected to officially last for one year, but if all goes as expected, cooperation will be extended.

On Saturday, 26 October, the youth association REaktiv will organize a street action from 12:00-15:30, where they will aim to familiarize citizens about the project ‘Bosnia and Herzegovina Cap Project’.

In addition to Zenica, street actions will be held in two more cities, in Žepče on Friday, 25 October and in Visoko on Monday, 28 October.
