The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers, Stasa Kosarac, stated that the export of fish from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Russian Federation is expected soon, considering that all preconditions for that have been created.

The Veterinary Office of BiH, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, has harmonized the certificate with the Russian Federation, and the export of fish to this important market is expected soon, the ministry announced.

”According to the existing practice, the process of certification of domestic companies for export should follow, within which the arrival of competent Russian inspectors in BiH is expected,” said Košarac, ekapija business portal reports.

He stated that the company Ribnjak Janj Tropic Ribarstvo from Banja Luka is currently nominated for the export of fish to the Russian Federation, and expressed hope that the number of subcontractors from Republika Srpska and Federation of BiH will be increased.

Kosarac added that they are fully committed to cooperating with the Russian Federation, because the market there is large and important for improving the business of domestic companies.

”I am convinced that companies from Republika Srpska and FBiH recognize this capacity and that their products will soon be on the Russian market,” Kosarac pointed out.

He announced that he would discuss this process with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH, and that the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers would continue to work continuously on opening new markets for domestic products in order to protect domestic production.
