armin-smailhodzic-aplikacija-wku-bryan-lemon-main(1)The Bosnian Armin Smailhodžić, the physicist with an address in the United States, has developed an application that is using social media and in that way it monitors and predicts the spread of Ebola.

Armin was born in Doboj, and defended his master in national security at the University of Western Kentucky. In the framework of national security , he has developed an application for smart phones via Twitter that collects data and monitors the outbreak of the Ebola virus, and then predicts the spread of this deadly disease.

The application is designed for travelers who go to West Africa and provides the basic information about the Ebola virus. In addition, the application also offers a variety of information, for instance it provides the definition of Ebola, the risk of exposure, methods of prevention, signs and symptoms, mode of transmission, diagnosis as well as treatments.

“The application provides users with everyday information about Ebola that are published by NPR (National Public Radio). Several times a day the news regarding Ebola are updated. We hope to add a few more sources of news in the next few upgrades ” says Armin to Al Jazeera .

The application is called ‘The Ebola Project’ and it is currently available on the App Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android devices.
