Bosnian Consul General in Frankfurt Luciano Kaluza has informed the Bosnian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the victim of the armed attack in the German city of Hanau had citizenship of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

According to the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this was established by the ex-post controls of the Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Frankfurt.

Earlier, it was reported that a person injured in Hanoi was of Bosnian origin but did not have BiH citizenship.

The BiH Foreign Ministry Bisera Turkovic sent condolences to the families of all those killed in the terrorist attack, Fena reports.

At least nine people were killed late on Wednesday as 43-year-old German man went on a shooting rampage in the western town of Hanau, targeting customers at two separate shisha lounges.

The suspect and his mother were found dead in his apartment overnight on Thursday after a huge manhunt.

Police are attempting to identify the victims, Al Jazeera reports.
