On 1 July 2020 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the Indictment in the Rajo Kikić case, charging the accused with the criminal offense of Accepting Gifts and other Forms of Benefit under Article 217(1) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH).

The Indictment alleges that on 16 March 2020 the accused Rajo Kikić, as an official person – border police officer with the BiH Border Police, at the international border crossing of Brčko, while performing his passenger and vehicle control duties, demanded and received a gift so as not to prohibit or deny, in the framework of his office, entry into BiH for three persons, although he had the obligation to do so under the Decision of the Council of Ministers dated 15 March 2020 on setting additional conditions for entry of foreigners into BiH. He allowed the persons who were coming from the territory with an intensive transmission of the corona virus (Austria) to illegally enter BiH without any health examination and decision on isolation, having demanded and received a 20 EUR banknote.
