Bosnian sells Kebabs in Stuttgart, Germans “crazy” about them

restpranBosnian Muhamed Music, who has lived and worked in Germany for 25 years, decided to bring part of BH atmosphere and the food in his restaurant in Leonberg, near Stuttgart. In May of this year, he started importing Sarajevo kebabs, which became a real hit among Germans.

Music was born in Tubingen (Germany), grew up in Knezina in Sokolac, and he was enrolled in the register of births in Vlasenica. He currently lives in Boeblingen, and he has a house in Topuzovo Polje near Visoko. He has been engaged in catering for more than 20 years, and in his restaurant are working people from BiH, Croatia, and two weeks ago came a Syrian from Aleppo as well. He said that the name of his restaurant “Gastronomiewelt Glemstal” (gastronomy of the world) reflects their small international family.

“Kebabs are very popular in Germany, but wherever I tried them, that was not it. I decided to import our real kebabs and they became a real hit. The most common customers are Germans who are delighted with our kebabs. We serve kebabs with some french fries, chutney or sour cream. We manage to sell up to 60 portions per day if the weather is nice,” said Music.

For kebabs on the grill are in charge two Bosnians – Fahrudin and Marko and one Croat from Vinkovci – Ivan. Everyone is satisfied, workers and customers, and besides Germans, people from all countries of the former Yugoslavia are coming to his restaurant. The special charm of this food gives the fact that the kebabs are fried on the grill made in the form of a locomotive.

“How much people love Sarajevo kebabs is showed by the fact that one group on excursion, about 20 people, ordered kebabs seven times. Since May, when I imported 250 kilograms of kebabs, I have around 30 kilograms left now,” said Music.

He emphasized that he is trying to give his contribution to the country at least in this way and to help as much as possible. He married women from Banja Luka with whom he has two sons, Mirza and Muriz. His mother still lives in Sarajevo, and he comes in BiH at least once every year.

“Our kebabs are expensive, but we have the best quality and that’s why people come to us. They have the perfect atmosphere here, especially during the Euro 2016, when they can watch it on the big screen with Sarajevo kebabs,” stated Music.

The restaurant has a large complex with fields and entertainment facilities, and they also offer special menus adapted to events and festivals in Germany and abroad.
