In Augsburg, a university town in the southwest of Bavaria, in Gymnasium bei St. Anna, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Supplementary School in Bosnian language started working.
The official consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Munich Ruzmira Tihic-Kadric and Haris Halilovic, the President of the Federation of Supplementary Schools of BiH, attended the inaugural beginning of the teaching. Textbooks were provided for all children free of charge, Klix.ba news portal reports.
Besides the pupils and parents, the General Consul of BiH in Munich, Ruzmira Tihic-Kadric and the President of the Federation of Supplementary Schools of BiH, Haris Halilovic, handed over the textbooks given by the Bosnian Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In their welcoming addresses to the children and their parents, the Consul General Tihic-Kadric and the President of the Union, Haris Halilovic emphasized the importance of preserving native language and identity of BiH citizens in the diaspora and fostering links with the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
All children whose parents are from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the former Yugoslavia, as well as all the other children who want and accept the curriculum and teaching program, can attend the school.
