Which Branch in BiH hires the most People?

udruzenje-nezaposlenihBased on the data by the Agency for Statistics of BiH, tourism is a branch in BiH that has been employing the most people lately, which is another confirmation of the tourist boom in the country.

In the first five months of this year, employment in the field of provision of accommodation and preparation and serving of food increased by 7.4 percent in comparison with the same period last year.

According to statistic, this sector currently employs 34.392 people, 15.388 of whom are women.

Employment growth in the field of agriculture, forestry and fishing amounts to 6.3 percent and these sectors currently employ 17.468 persons.

The real estate business sector is on the third place according to employment growth. This sector is also experiencing expansion, with the growth of 5.6 percent in the first five months of 2016. This sector hires 2.679 people, 919 of whom are women.

Construction awakens again. Employment growth in this sector amounts to 4.2 percent, and 33.910 workers work in construction.

Expert, scientific and technical activities record the same growth rate of 4.2 percent and hire 22.156 workers in total.

Employment growth in the first month of this year in the most numerous activity, he manufacturing industry, amounts to 2.9 percent and this sector now hires 142.480 workers in total.

Ore and stone extraction activities record the highest fall of employment of 2.2 percent, to a total of 18.461 workers, as well as the field of production and supply with electrical energy, gas, steam and air conditioning with a decrease of 1.7 percent to a total of 16.933 workers.

In first five months of this year, fall of employment in public administration and defense, as well as in social insurance, amounted to 1.2 percent so these sectors now have 73.930 employees.

Employment in BiH in the first five months of this year increased by 1.9 percent in comparison with the same period last year. Conclusive with May, 724.833 employed persons were registered.
