The first business meeting in Brčko was organized yesterday, entitled “New opportunities for business, sustainable minority return, finding new business partners and new markets”.
The Bosna Bank International (BBI) and the VIP Business Club in cooperation with the government of Brčko District, Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Employers of the Brčko District organized the meeting.
The business meeting gathered many local and foreign companies, and they spoke of the opportunities and models for developing cooperation in order to initiate joint economic activities and open new jobs in the Brčko area.
The Director of BBI Amir Bukvić said that such activities of BBI goes a step further in the area of banking and tries to open new markets and find quality investors for its clients.
“We came to see what the potentials of the project of BBI are in Brčko District and to try to present these projects more and to find partners for them and for goods produced in Brčko. We are particularly interested in projects that lead to a bigger level of employment. This means that the more jobs there are, the bigger interest of BBI”, said Bukvić.
Anto Domić, the Mayor of Brčko, said that agriculture and the food industry at this moment are areas of economic activity that Brčko can offer to foreign investors.
“We have the ability to deliver the infrastructure that we are developing for whichever industry. We have the capacity to create favorable conditions. Having in mind that we are a small local community that has its own executive and legislative power, which at this level adopts all regulations, we have the opportunity to create conditions that, with the mediation of banks, foreign investors come’’, said Domić.
“The opportunities are great and if there are favorable credit conditions, the development of the economic sector, especially in the food industry, could be much higher. This opportunity gives a chance to business people from this area to develop and to find third markets’’, said the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Brčko District Sead Slomić.
