Zivko Budimir, former president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) and retired general of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) spoke about the relations between Croats and Bosniaks and about the collaborators of the Serbian secret services within the political circles of BiH and Croatia.
The former president of FBiH emphasized the absolute indifference of politicians to the lives of citizens in BiH, stating that the conflict during the aggression against our country between the Army of BiH and HVO units was directed by Serbian intelligence services.
“Irresponsible politicians, primarily from BiH, but also others who think they understand the situation in BiH or are consciously working against the interests of BiH and Croatia,” Budimir told.
During the war, he said, Serbian intelligence services had two great successes. The first success is the provocation of the conflict between the Army and the HVO, and the second is the provocation of the conflict within the Bosniak people in the so-called Bihac pocket.
As Budimir explained, the secret services managed to change the nature of the war in BiH, which turns from aggression into a civil war, through these conflicts.
“Circumstances are being created to avoid the responsibility of Serbia, but also of the local Serb population that helped the aggression against BiH, and conditions are being created for the creation of today’s Republika Srpska (RS). After the war, that same intelligence service has completely different goals,” Budimir pointed out.
According to Budimir, such goals are equalizing guilt in the war, creating a perception among the representatives of the international community that BiH is a dysfunctional and unsustainable state and as such impossible.
Tense relations in BiH are created by secret services from Serbia
Budimir pointed out that secret tasks are carried out by people within Bosniak and Croat politics who have been cooperating with intelligence structures for a long time.
“I’m not saying that they are mercenaries, but that they are collaborators, that they work because they are blackmailed or maybe ideologically they think it’s good,” Budimir noted.
He thinks that in order to be able to talk about legitimate representation, the election results must be a reflection of the free will of the citizens. Budimir’s proposal is that all BiH citizens elect members of the BiH Presidency, Klix.ba writes.
