The RS Minister of Transport and Communication Nedeljko Čubrilović and the Minister of Civil Engineering and Urban Planning in Serbia Velimir Ilić attended the meeting of a working group for the construction of a most over the Drina river, Ljubovija-Bratunac.

The Ministers told the working group of the importance of the project, adding that its construction will open the corridor area 11 of Podrinja. They pointed out that citizens on both sides of the Drina expect a modern bridge, with a border crossing and that it is important that the bridge is constructed quickly and of high quality.

Čubrilović said that for the RS this bridge is a priority over all other planned bridges on the Drina, while Ilić suggested that the project entails one border crossing.

They also discussed the preliminary design of the border crossing and the bridge on the Drina with access roads.

The costs of the construction will be covered by Serbia, and each party will finance its access roads.
