DSC_0651-1The Embassy of Poland in Sarajevo yesterday morning organized a business breakfast at the premises of the Embassy. The guests were welcomed by Robert Ambroziak, Secretary and the Head of political-consular department, and Krystyna Zukowska-Efendić from the department of press, communications and culture.

The meeting was attended by representatives of businesses in B&H, together with the Head of Unit for EU and Projects within the Foreign Trade Chamber of B&H Amir Hujić, Secretary of Trade Association and Fair Association of B&H within the FTC B&H Muris Pozderac, Head of the Department of Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of B&H Neven Kulenović, and representatives of other relevant institutions.

Meeting was opened by a presentation titled “B&H – Poland: Can we be better economic partners?” held by Dawid Cecuda, Chairman of the Board of Association for Cooperation Poland – Azerbaijan and the Institute for Economic Diplomacy in Poland.

During the presentation, Cecuda emphasized the importance of EU funds for the development of economy and further partnership between countries. Moreover, special emphasis was put on the importance of building trust, and a conclusion was made that the lack of knowledge between partners leads to the lack of trust and thereby low level of cooperation. As a way of increasing the level of knowledge of partners about each other, Cecuda proposed video conferences as a manner of facilitating communication and increased presence on the internet through functional websites.
Participants of the discussion also concluded that it is important to rebuild ties between the countries in the region.
