Canton Sarajevo visited by Tourists from 110 Countries of the World in June

Tourists in April tv1.baIn June 2015, Canton Sarajevo was visited by 37.844 tourists, which is for 18.4% more compared to June last year.

Tourists recorded 67.991 overnight stays, which is for 6.7% more compared to the same period in 2014.

In the structure of a total arrival of tourists, 88.7% of arrival was recorded by the foreign tourists, and 11.3% by the domestic ones, as stated from the Tourist community of Canton Sarajevo.

Most foreign tourists came from: Turkey (16.5%), Croatia (12.0%), South Korea (6.9%), Slovenia (5.3%) and the USA (4.7%).

Foreign tourists recorded 87.7% of overnight stays, and the domestic ones 12.3%.

In the structure of the overnight stay of foreign tourists, the most overnight stays were recorder by the tourists from: Turkey (15.5%), Croatia (10.5%), USA (6.7%), Kuwait (5.3%) and Germany (4.9%). The average stay of tourists in June 2015 was 1.8 overnight stays. The average number of overnight stays per bed was 7.7.

Tourists from following countries stayed the longest: Lebanon 7, Azerbaijan 4.8, Kuwait 4.5. Latvia 4.3, Tunisia 4, Philippines 3.6, Qatar 3.6, United Araba Emirates 3.1, Netherlands 2.8, USA 2.6.

Canton Sarajevo was visited by tourists from 110 countries of the world in June 2015.

Usage of the accommodation capacities was 65 % in terms of room occupancy, i.e. 25.6% in terms of bed occupancy.

In the first six months of 2015, Canton Sarajevo was visited by 163.130 tourists, which is 17.2% more compared to the same period in 2014, and they recorded 310.545 overnight stays, which is 15.2% more compared to the last year.
