Cazin and Livno soon to get the Status of Cities?

12939367_1753648078205202_317115850_nThe Government of the FBiH, in accordance with the Article 5, Paragraph 2 of the Law on Principles of Local Self- Governance in FBiH, established drafts on the Law on the City of Cazin and the Law on the City of Livno. These laws define the territory, define characteristics, organs and methods of choosing of city councils and mayors, regulate adoption of interim statutory decisions and statutes, calling the elections and other issues of importance for Cazin and Livno.

Status of cities Cazin and Livno will allow, among other things, ability to directly access to European funds, strengthening of partnership with other cities, both in BiH and in the region. The status of the city will give the advantage when applying projects to international donors.

After the proclamation, cities of Cazin and Livno will fully take over the rights and obligations from the former municipalities as their legal heirs.
