Intensive work on preparations of the sports hall in Cazin for the match between the handball teams of B&H and Greece for placement in the qualifications for the European Championship are over and everything is ready for the match, said Emir Dautović, President of the Local Sports Association.
”We have invested 35.000 BAM for the planning and equipping of the hall, and 25.000 BAM were alone were invested in the purchase of a traffic signal. There was reconstruction of the roof, lighting was changed, the bathrooms were furnished and the changing rooms. The funds were fully secured by municipality Cazin. Everything is prepared and the match can take place tomorrow in our hall”, said Dautović.
Mayor of municipality Cazin Nermin Ogrešević said that not at any moment did they hesitate when the organization of this match was offered to them. He added that the allocations for decorating the hall and purchasing equipment represent investments that were lacking in this facility, which is now ready for such an international competition.
The first match for placement in the qualifications for the European Championship will take place on Wednesday, 2 April in Solun. When it ends, the B&H team will immediately travel to Cazin, and the first training will take place on 3 April, and then two more on 4 and 5 April.
The rematch between B&H and Greece will take place in Cazin on 5 April.
