The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH) today adopted a Decision on the Call and Holding of the 2026 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Elections are being called for: the Presidency of BiH, the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, for the President and Vice-Presidents of the RS and the Cantonal Assemblies in the Federation of BiH.
The elections will be held on Sunday, October 4.
The Central Election Commission of BiH adopted the Instructions on the Deadlines and Sequence of Election Activities for the Direct Elections for the 2026 General Elections, and adopted a Decision on the Closing of the Central Voters’ Register on May 6, 2026.
The Rulebook on the Conduct of the 2026 General Elections in BiH should also be adopted, as well as a Decision on the Appearance, Content, Properties and Characteristics of the Ballot for All Levels of Direct Elections in the 2026 General Elections.
More details about the upcoming General Elections in BiH will be announced at a press conference after the session of the BiH Central Election Commission.
