At its 82nd session, the Central Election Commission of BiH adopted a Decision on the determination and publication of the results of the 2026 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Decision on the determination and publication of the results of the 2026 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina enters into force on the day of its adoption. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that, due to technical reasons, the published results do not display the compensatory mandates for the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH. Based on the certified results, these mandates have been allocated as follows:

  1. Miralem Galijašević SDA
  2. Eldin Delić SDA
  3. Asmir Hasić SDA
  4. Jasmina Bišćević-Tokić SDA

The CEC clarified that the 14th compensatory mandate remains vacant because the list submitted by the political entity—comprising HDZ BiH, HSS SR, HSP BiH, HKDU, HSP AS, HDU, HSP HB, and HRAST—has been exhausted. This entity will be notified to submit a supplementary list for the allocation of compensatory mandates within 48 hours.

Provisions of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the minimum representation of constituent peoples in the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will be implemented prior to the adoption of the decision confirming the election results. This will include the specific names of the candidates and a declaration regarding their affiliation with a constituent people.

Requests for a recount of ballots, as well as objections regarding the accuracy of the published election results, must be submitted to the Central Election Commission of BiH within 72 hours from the date the Commission announced the established election results, the CEC stated.

SDA secures nine seats in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, followed by the SNSD with six and the SDP BiH with five mandates.
According to the certified results, out of 42 seats in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) has won nine, the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) holds six, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of BiH has five, and the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) of BiH holds four parliamentary seats.

The Party for BiH (SBiH) will hold a total of three mandates in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, while two mandates each were won by the People and Justice (NiP) party—in coalition with the Social Democrats (SD)—the Democratic Front (DF), the Safe Srpska Movement (PSS), and the Serb Democratic Party (SDS). Seven parties or coalitions will each have one representative in the lower house of the state parliament. These include the “Croatian Five” (HDZ 1990, HSS, HNP, HDS, and HRS); the coalition of NES, PDA, and Naprijed; Naša stranka (NS); For Justice and Order (ZPR); the DNS-NPS coalition; the Socialist Party–DEMOS coalition; and United Srpska (US).

Twelve parties and coalitions enter the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament; the SDA leads with 31 mandates.
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has also certified results showing that 12 parties and coalitions will have representatives in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH. Out of a total of 98 parliamentary seats, the SDA won 31, the SDP BiH 16, and the coalition led by the HDZ BiH 15 seats in the House of Representatives of the Federation of BiH. The Party for BiH (Stranka za BiH) will hold nine seats, while the coalition consisting of NiP, SDBiH, and SPU will hold seven. According to the confirmed results, the DF will have six representatives, while Naša stranka and the coalition of NES, PDA, and Naprijed will each have four. The coalition comprising HDZ 1990, HDS, HRS, and HSS won three seats, while the Bosniak-Herzegovinian Initiative – Kasumović Fuad, the HNP, and Pomak will each hold one seat.

The final results will be announced once the appeals process has concluded, and no later than one month from the date the elections were held.
